Every parent wants to protect their child from hardship. That’s natural.

But when support removes responsibility, it may also remove the opportunity to develop confidence, ownership and resilience.

The goal is not to stop helping.
The goal is to help in a way that builds strength instead of dependence.

Perhaps the most important transition in parenting is this:

Love must eventually change from rescue… to responsibility.
