We were taught a powerful formula: study hard, collect respectable qualifications, and a successful life will follow.

For many people, education has indeed opened extraordinary doors—and this film is certainly not an argument against degrees.

But it explores the uncomfortable reality of another group: highly educated young adults with impressive, high-sounding academic credentials who discover that qualifications do not automatically translate into work, income, independence or opportunity.

Meanwhile, someone whose education followed a very different route may be solving an everyday problem, earning from it—and eventually employing others.

The film asks us to look beyond the false choice between “degrees are useless” and “just get more qualifications”, and examine the missing bridge between acquiring knowledge and turning that knowledge into value in the real world.
